  • Deprecation at IRD rates using the straight line method.
  • Calculations are based on our Southern regions sunshine hours using NIWA data
  • Considers daily self consumption
  • Current local Southern electricity prices supplied by the Ministry of Business Innovation and Development

Choose the right sized externally vented extractor fan for the job, a fan to small wont remove moist air and a fan too large can create draughts, ensure you have automatic controls, such as a timer which runs for 20 minutes after it is turned off.

When opening curtains ensure they are pulled back or tied back as far as possible, any window not exposed to the free solar gain of the sun, decreases free heating your home can use.
