Hauora Homes Monkey Tronics

Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu and Awarua Synergy Hauora Homes have engaged Monkey Tronics to provide all Whānau Ora navigators with a home sensor that will monitor humidity and temperature in your whare.   The home sensor is designed to stay in one room to collect data.  The home sensor is a commitment that we made to Navigators who participated in the Whānau Ora Hauora Homes training.  This amazing wee device can provide you data direct to your phone allowing you to manage the moisture and heating inside your whare.  In addition to this device you will also receive a portable temperature and humidity device to take when visiting whānau to help inspire change for whānau wellbeing.

STEPS

  1. Complete the form below
  2. Devices will be posted once all Whanau Ora navigators have completed this form
  3. Receive device, place in the room you wish to manager
  4. Optional – you can download the monkey tronic app, and monitor progress, use url code (instructions will be emailed out)
  5. Start implementing action that will help improve your whare

  • The Monkey Tronic home sensor device I will install in my home will monitor the temperature (warmth), and humidity (moisture).
  • The data is being used to provide me with better advice
  • The conclusions will be shared with other partner organisations that are also trying to help you and your home, including Otago University School of Medicine, Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu, , Community Energy Network, Monkey Tronics and Awarua Synergy
  • This data is to help better understand how housing in New Zealand can be improved
  • The data will be shared using non-personal information. This will not include names.
  • This data will be used to better understand the impact of the changes we made and or are making to my home.
  • My data could be linked to other non-personal data, including health and social data and other data as held by Statistics New Zealand on the Integrated Data Infrastructure.

The Privacy Act 2020 requires us to tell you that:

  • All personal information you share with Awarua Synergy and agencies involved in your case will be held by the Awarua Synergy & Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu,, and dealt with according to the Privacy Act 2020. Your records will be kept securely.
  • This information is being collected to improve the outcomes to you and your family/whanau from Awarua Synergy and the partner organisations they work with.
  • Your personal information will only be shared with agencies that you have already given permission to access and that are involved in improving the health of your home and reducing energy hardship, or if we are required by law to release that information.
  • Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask to see all the information each organisation holds about you and to ask us to correct/remove that information if you think your privacy has been breached.
